 ***STRESS ***

Is this you?

Hiring a Virtual Assistant really is an instant stress reliever ... but if you're still thinking about it, here's some silly de-stressing tips to tide you over ...

  • When someone says "Have a nice day," tell them you have other plans.

  • Fill out your tax forms using Roman Numerals.

  • Use your MasterCard to pay your Visa and vice-versa.

  • Stare at people through the tines of a fork and pretend they're in jail.

  • Make up a language and ask people for directions.

  • Make a list of things to do that you've already done.

Seriously, though, stress can be a very debilitating condition and if you are a sufferer, there are many ways you can keep it under control.  This helpful link on Managing Stress will tell you more.

Don't flush your money!

There have been a few changes to virtual-assistance.com in recent weeks, including functions to make the site more user-friendly.  And there's more to come, so visit often!  One resource, which is proving very popular is a form that allows you to work out the true cost of your employees, taking every imaginable factor into consideration.  If you have a strong stomach (and no heart complaints!), follow this link … shocking stuff!

How much do your employees really cost

(UK) National Insurance rise - the facts

The Chancellor has recently announced a 1% rise on National Insurance, and I decided to research a bit into the effects it would have.  The results I came across were extremely disturbing.  The costs to the individual are obvious; however, it appears that businesses will be taking the main fall.  Predictions by the British Chamber of Commerce show that this rise will add thousands of pounds to the average company’s payroll, and in an effort to keep afloat, many organisations will find themselves having to decide between making staff cuts or cutting spending in other areas, such as investment or research.  In order to get all the facts about how this rise will affect you, visit the Inland Revenue link below:

Valuable FREE information for businesses

The British Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with BT, Hewlett Packard, Intel and Microsoft have come up with a FREE guide to simplifying technology for business.  For further information and to get your copy click below:

Reach the world

If you've visited virtual-assistance.com recently, you may have noticed a powerful new tool that allows foreign visitors to browse the site in their language.

AltaVista's Babel Fish Translation Service allows you to keep the entire layout of your page, but with all the content completely translated.  You can also input a block of text into the specialised fields on their site for translation either to or from a variety of different languages.  And what's more, this is a completely FREE service.  You don't have to sign-up for anything, and you can use it as often as you like.  Enjoy!

Give it a go!

Thanks for your time; hopefully you enjoyed this first edition of the Virtual Assistance Newsletter!  If you have any comments or suggestions, or would like to contribute information to an upcoming edition, please click here.
