HANDY HINT!!

If you spill a drink on your keyboard and it looks like it is finished, you could try a last ditch effort to try and revive it.

Go down to your local pharmacy and get a bottle of 99% Isopropyl Alcohol. Unplug your keyboard from the computer and take it outside. Pour the whole bottle of alcohol over the keys and swish it around.

Then empty it out and shake the keyboard until most of the liquid is gone.

Let the keyboard dry over night before you plug it in to see if it works. The alcohol evaporates and doesn’t leave anything behind and so it shouldn’t hurt any of the components and it should clean out any liquid left in the keyboard.

REMEMBER this is only after you have decided to replace the keyboard anyway.

Just one reason why a V.A is better than a regular employee...

Greetings!

Well May has been and gone, which means that summer is officially on its way!

It's a time when business can flourish and in this newsletter are some tips to maximise sales, productivity and safety.  Enjoy!

Stay SAFE

Likelihood is, you've heard some horror stories about computer viruses and what they can do to your business.

It is sad, but if you use a computer connected to the internet at work or at home, you are open to all sorts of attacks.  The only way to stay safe is to ensure you use a decent Anti-Virus software, but it is surprising how many people do not.

Now, there can be no excuses as you can get first-rate protection for FREE - AVG Antivirus software, can be downloaded using the following link.

Homeworking and making it work for you

It seems like the rest of the world is starting to clue-up to the benefits of home-working!  Although I would obviously much rather you use the services of a V.A, the option is there for you to increase productivity by allowing your existing workers to work from home.  The following link goes to an article on the Microsoft BCentral website about how flexible working patterns can benefit you and your business.

Broadband Britain Challenge

Do you use Broadband, either for work or at home?  Have you found that it has made a big impact on yours or someone else's life in any way?  The search is on for a Broadband Champion; someone who has perhaps come up with new and interesting ways of using it or has used it to benefit others.  If you feel that you (or someone you could nominate) has what it takes, then follow this link...

The key to guaranteed repeat sales

If there's one thing any business owner wants more than anything else, it's more sales.  But how do you find them?  And how do you keep hold of these customers once you've got them.  I came across this article recently, which raises some interesting and enterprising ideas ...
