Dear subscribers,
This edition of the Virtual Assistance newsletter is going to be kept nice and simple and deals mainly with the issue surrounding email marketing. As you may have heard, new legislation means that email marketing has to be 100%, fool-proof, permission-based as of October 2003.
Marketing Mayhem ...
As business people, we have probably all cottoned on to the fact that email marketing is probably the cheapest and easiest way of getting your business out there into the Great Unknown. However, this invaluable medium of advertising has been abused by so-called 'spammers' and regulations on this matter have had to be subsequently tightened.
If you operate an email newsletter or any other form of email advertising, please read up on this legislation and if it will affect you and make the necessary amendments to ensure that you comply. For your information, I have listed some articles to help you broaden your horizons:

Now, for a favour ...
All this is obviously leading up to the fact that I need to now ask you to re-subscribe to this newsletter in order to continue sending it to you!
Please follow the link above and fill in your details. My usual standards apply - your details will not be shared with anybody and you will have the option to unsubscribe at any time.
Hopefully you will decide to opt-in, in which case I'll look forward to landing another jam-packed edition into your inbox in October!
